SHETLAND CONTEMPORARY IONA,

A
modern steel wood burning stove which is also capable
of burning coal and all other solid fuels. It is clean-burning,
with primary and secondary combustion, with an effective
airwash system to keep the glass clear.
The large ceramic glass window gives a good view of
the fire and is kept clear by the air-wash system.
The 5kw nominal output is the amount of heat the stove
produces when run moderately. It will effectively heat
a room area of around 86 cubic metres at an outside
temperature of -1 degrees C. This stove has been reported
to run for over 15 hours on a load, and will give more
heat using less wood than a similarly priced cast iron
stove.
It has a convection system - warm air is drawn in at
the bottom, passes around the combustion chamber, and
exits through vents at the top of the stove. In this
way it distributes heat evenly and efficiently into
the room.
It is fully lined with firebricks, which prolong the
life of the stove and improve combustion efficiency.
The colour scheme is matt mid-grey.
Flue exit - top only - 150mm diameter.
